Privacy by design: your health data stays on your phone
Editorially reviewed on October 29, 2026. [TODO: medical reviewer] How we review
Quick answer
Nothing you type or tick in our tools is sent to us. We only count anonymous events like “a tool was opened” or “a PDF was printed”, never what you entered. You can export or delete everything from each tracker in one tap.
Your data stays on your device
Trackers like the cycle tracker and symptom tracker save entries in your browser's storage on your phone or computer. The self-check, cost calculator and quiz keep answers only in the open tab. Doctor reports are made by your own browser's print function. Nothing is uploaded, and we have no server copy to lose, sell or hand over.
This also means we cannot recover your data if you clear your browser or lose your phone. Export a backup now and then.
In private or incognito mode, some browsers block storage. The tools still work, but entries disappear when you close the tab. The tool will tell you when this happens.
What we track
To know which tools help people, we count a few anonymous events:
- A tool was opened or completed
- A PDF or printable was printed
- A calendar reminder was added
- An embed code was copied
- A partner link (an address starting with /go/) was clicked
Each event carries only the tool or partner name. We plan to use a privacy-friendly analytics service for these counts: [TODO: confirm analytics provider and cookie use].
What we never track
- Your answers, symptoms, cycle dates, lab values or notes
- Your name, email or phone number (we never ask)
- Which medicines you take
- Anything that could show you have PCOS
We do not sell data, and we do not share an analytics property with any other kind of website.
Export, move or delete
Every tracker has a “Your data” panel with four buttons:
- Export (JSON) saves a backup file you can keep or move.
- Export (CSV) opens in a spreadsheet, where available.
- Import loads a backup on a new phone.
- Delete everything erases that tool's entries from this device after you confirm.
To remove everything at once, clear this site's data in your browser settings (often under Site settings or Privacy, then Clear data for pcosphilippines.com).
The Data Privacy Act (RA 10173)
The Data Privacy Act of 2012 (Republic Act No. 10173) protects personal and sensitive personal information in the Philippines, and health information counts as sensitive. The safest way to respect it is not to collect it at all, so we built our tools that way. If you email us, we use your message only to reply, and you can ask us to delete it.
Partner sites
When you click a partner link, such as a lab booking or a doctor directory, you leave our site. That partner's own privacy policy applies to anything you give them. Read how we make money to see who our partners are.
