Medical disclaimer
Editorially reviewed on October 29, 2026. [TODO: medical reviewer] How we review
Information, not medical advice
Everything on pcosphilippines.com is general information for education. It is not medical advice and does not replace a consult with a licensed doctor who knows your history. We do not diagnose, prescribe or give personal dosing advice.
Our tools do not diagnose
The self-check, calculators, quizzes and trackers help you understand features and prepare questions. A result like “you may have features worth checking” is not a diagnosis. Lab explanations always defer to the reference range printed by your own lab. Educational only. Not a diagnosis. Talk to a doctor about your results.
Medicines and supplements
Combined pills, metformin, spironolactone, letrozole, clomiphene and GLP-1 medicines are prescription only in the Philippines. Never start, stop or switch a medicine because of something you read here. Food supplements such as inositol carry “No approved therapeutic claims”. Check any product on the FDA Philippines verification portal.
Prices
Prices are checked monthly from the sources shown, but Philippine drugstore, lab and clinic prices change often. Confirm the price with the provider before you go. See our editorial policy.
When to get help soon
Seek care promptly if you have
- Very heavy bleeding, such as soaking a pad every hour, or feeling faint
- Severe pain in the belly or pelvis
- Hair growth that comes on fast and severe, or a deepening voice
- Thoughts of harming yourself. Call the NCMH Crisis Hotline at 1553 or emergency services at 911.
If you have gone 3 months or more without a period, book a consult; long gaps need checking.
